Hello & welcome!

I'm Lyra. I started making art when I was little; while the call has waxed and waned over the years through school, work, and life in general, I returned to creating with purpose in 2019. I like to work with several media, but my favorites are graphite, colored pencils, ink, watercolor, and acrylic.

Why "galloping crow?"

I've always felt a kinship with crows. They are bright and fierce, but they also have the goofiest walk when they're trying to get out of the way in a hurry. I saw one doing just that on a bus ride home from work some time ago, and I realized I could relate, being a bit of an awkward mover myself from time to time. I took the name as a moniker online, and it eventually felt right to give the name to my practice.

Printing

Who prints the prints?

That would be me! I own a Canon Pixma Pro-200 printer and use archival paper.Currently, I am offering prints in these sizes:4 x 6 inch (10.16 x 15.24 cm)
5 x 7 inch (12.7 x 17.78 cm)
8 x 10 inch (20.32 x 25.4 cm)

How long does it take to send?

I make prints to order and give them 24 hours to dry completely. Then they ship via FedEx within 1-3 business days. (Usually, I can get these out in 1 day, but we all know life happens.)

Shipping

Where do you ship to?

Currently, shipping is only available to the United States and Canada because of shipping restrictions on Mayhem Market, my Etsy alternative. Once international shipping is available, I'll update this space!

How is the art packaged?

I carefully hand-package each item, so you receive your purchase safely and quickly. All art is placed in a protective sleeve with a backing board, then put into a rigid mailer with “Do Not Bend” stickers on the front and back. I strive to be as eco-friendly as possible, because we only have one Earth!

About storing your information

If you make a purchase from me, I will store your relevant customer data and our business transaction in my bookkeeping and email archive for up to 10 years, required by legislation. Your information is stored securely, behind locked doors and encrypted password-protected accounts and devices, and it cannot be accessed by outsiders. Your customer information is not shared with third parties, except for my authorized accounting partner, bank service (for the purpose of handling your payment), and (if items are shipped) the shipping company.

Your rights

As the data subject, you have the right to inquire about the stored information of you, or to update or delete your data (when possible). I will be obligated to delete your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes of maintaining the service or business relationship.
